Dear Parents,
Healthy Eating Challenge: Today begins our ECC Healthy Eating Challenge. Your child will be bringing home a form to record his/her daily servings of fruits and vegetables. I’m looking for 100% participation! Please encourage your child to eat 4-5 servings of fruits and vegetables per day. Please return the form by next Monday, January 30th.
Language Arts: We are continuing with theme III. The story we are reading this week is called, Raising Dragons. This is one of my favorite stories we read in third grade.
Math: We are beginning division concepts and will be working in topics 9 and 10.
Science: Our science test is Thursday. The students have been studying matter with Ms. Sax. They will be taking an open note test. Ms. Sax will help them review their notes to prepare for the test.
Math 24: Math 24 continues at lunch on Wednesday. Your child can bring their lunch to the auditorium and play the Math 24 game with other third and fourth grade students. This is a great way to practice the game and have fun
Homework: We do have spelling and vocabulary this week. Your child does need to do the writing portion on the back of the spelling packet. Please have them do the writing on a separate sheet of lined paper.
Flutes: To keep the flutes safe and protected, I am encouraging everyone to bring in a sock to store the flute in. If you have a recorder case, that will work also.
